Borgata Hotel and Casino – The Water Club The Borgata Casino Hotel & Spa chose to continue its relationship with Total Video Products, Inc. as AV integrator for the opening of its signature hotel, The Water Club, in Atlantic City, in June 2008. As in the Borgata, TVP utilized Peavey Media Matrix and Crestron as the backbone of the new hotel and spa to maintain consistency, as the same AV and IT staff operate both facilities. While The Water Club is not a casino, it is a world-class 800-room hotel and spa connected to the Borgata by a short retail esplanade of high-end shops. The Borgata Ethernet, Fiber, CobraNet, and Crown IQ network was expanded to supply the four new Media Matrix Nion systems with their supporting Crestron and Crown digitally supplied amplifiers. A Borgata trademark is the custom designed music feeds delivered to various environments of the complex. Twenty of the Borgata’s audio feeds are joined by 20 more for The Water Club, all seamlessly routable via Media Matrix. Phase 1 was the main hotel background music and paging systems. Included in this system are the six retail shops, each presenting Crestron controlled custom audio and video feeds with LCD screens designed into the shop architecture. Two outdoor pools and a large atrium indoor pool area contain performance level systems with subwoofers and underwater speakers that are tuned and time-aligned to keep the music vibe strong. Phase 2 was the 2nd floor meeting room system containing 13 rooms, each with various levels of combine capability and each with separate but integrated Crestron touch panel control in the wall. Two of these rooms are full-featured boardrooms with video and audio conferencing, HDTV, 60” LCD, as well as 100” front projection. Input plates support up to 8 PC, AV, network, power and touch panel inputs, as well as mini-gooseneck microphones around the circular table. Phase 3 is the Spa located on the 33rd & 34th floors, with beautiful vistas of the Atlantic City-Brigantine area. Separate music feeds and Crestron control are provided for lobbies, treatment rooms, fitness room and the lap pool area, which includes underwater speakers. TVP designed custom Peavey Nion-Kiosk user menu’s for appropriate hotel management so they can each control music levels in their areas right from their office computers. In Phase 4, lavish top floor residential suites are outfitted in distributed Crestron Adagio control for HDTV, DVD, radio, and iPod and gaming systems. A Theater room houses a Sony 70” Bravia 1080p LCD monitor with a JBL Synthesis surround sound system. |
